Judo world. An eighth world title for Teddy Riner – Ouest-France

Adam Okruashvili Georgian and Ukrainian Iakiv Khammo took the bronze.

Riner, 26, has 7 consecutive world crowns in 100 kg (2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2013, 2014, 2015) and in all categories (2008).

It gives France its second gold medal after that of Gévrise Emane (-70 kg). The Blues have gleaned a total of 6 individual medals the Championships with money from Loïc Pietri (-81 kg) and Clarisse Agbegnenou (-63 kg), bronze Automne Pavia (-57 kg) and Fanny Estelle Posvite.

The 2012 Olympic champion has emerged in the final stride face a helpless Japanese, who had greatly annoyed in the final last year.

His last competition dated back to the Master in Rabat in late May.

Riner ended his day on a figure of 95 fights without defeat.

He has not been beaten since September 2010 and the final of the World Championships in all categories, where he bowed out after extra arbitrators’ decision against the Japanese Daiki Kamikawa.
