France – England. The Blues take revenge (25-20) – Ouest-France

The XV of France will be pushed by the wind of a nice victory gleaned face an England team colorless (25-20) on Saturday at the Stade de France in preparation match before crossing the Channel to address the World Cup. Finally a little breath! In dry dock for three and a half years looking for adventure, the liner France saw the horizon suddenly emerge.

Although this is only a warm-up match and the past has learned that exercise assumed no way of future success, hard to hide his pleasure. It must be said that a happy end opposite the old English rival has been rare in recent years. This is only the second time in six matches since the last World Cup as the XV of France succeeds

So to four weeks of the first fires of the great planetary ball, which will open for the Blues with a glued-tight dance with Italy at Twickenham (September 19), so believe the XV of France has finally cast off. And put behind him heavy slump seasons.

A haggard XV of the Rose for hours

A week after a frustrating performance at Twickenham (19-14), the Blues, with a totally revamped XV, presented a different face. Superior in almost all sectors, starting with an obvious physical dominance in areas of meeting, they completely stifled a XV de la Rose haggard an hour.

Of course there are still many adjustments to make and technical waste has been considerable in view of the overwhelming stranglehold on the part of men of Philippe Saint-André. Similarly, the Blues have still been too lax defense on the outside, conceding two tries without consequence (phew!) End of the game as a reminder to order.

But significant progress were recorded in the current game and we saw for both fly to intentions, like the superb test Yoann Huget early in the second period (46).

The busting head Lancaster

In contrast, it is a small industrial accident for England who thought having launched “his” World Cup success against the Blues the last week.

By deploying heavy artillery for the Stade de France, with the return of 14 senior players in the starting team, coach Stuart Lancaster expecting probably a confirmation of the rise of his own.

He will find back a sacred puzzle, given the disastrous performance of his fly-half George Ford, crippling of disciplinary problems and a hiccupping conquest. Only heartened, testing first hand scored by Danny Cipriani, while the fate of the match was already folded (72), followed by a raid winner Jonathan Joseph (78), proof that there is a heart beats somewhere in the ectoplasm band seen wandering near Paris.

In the end, the English came out rather cheaply by not accusing nine points behind at the break (15 -6), especially if one considers the incredible statistics after 25 minutes: 90% occupancy, 86% of possession for the French authors also when two beautiful blocks in key

. Michalak scores

What give grist to Frederic Michalak who donned four penalties in the first period (17 pts total) to become the passage leading scorer in the history of the XV of France ( 394 pts), before Christophe Lamaison (370).

In control of the game but still lack of offensive realism, the Blues finally materialize their ambitions by Huget, embodying a launch tracking key by two points attachment. Tacking in the English defense, Toulouse winger slumped under the posts to give France an advantage that will prove permanent.

Seeing the glass half full, coaching the Blues will be satisfied with the strength of their troops late on. But by making the ball to the English, the Blues are also exposed to dangerous opponent back.

What held spellbound the Stade de France until the very last second, and remember that nothing is acquired and it will further confirm September 5 for the ultimate dress rehearsal against Scotland.
