Valentino Rossi appealed his sanction to CAS – Eurosport.fr

         Valentino Rossi has appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) to obtain the cancellation or reduction of the sanction taken against him after the Malaysian Grand Prix, said Friday the International Motorcycling Federation (FIM). After a considered dangerous maneuver vis-à-vis Spain’s Marc Marquez, who fell during the collision between the two pilots in the 7th round of the Grand Prix, the race management imposed Sunday three penalty points on Rossi pilot license

         Already sanctioned in Misano a point to “irresponsible conduct” , Rossi must therefore statutorily constrained from last place on the starting grid of the Grand Prix of Valencia. During the last meeting of the season, the nine-time world champion will play the title with teammate Jorge Lorenzo on which he has seven point lead. FIM had upheld the decision of the race direction and no further appeal could be submitted.
