The All Blacks back in the final! – Sports.fr

The first shock of the southern giant has turned to the advantage of the champions of the New Zealand world, winners of South Africa at Twickenham on Saturday (20-18) at After a first semi-final World Cup tense where indiscipline came close, however costly for All Blacks authors of two trials of the game. Australia and Argentina, opposed Sunday (17 hours), try to reach the final.

The War of the Worlds at Twickenham. This is the poster of the first semi-final between the All Blacks more players than ever and the Springboks masters of physical challenge. Create or destroy is a summary of a caricature strand this opposition between best enemies of the southern hemisphere. Yet these are indeed the pillars on which Steve Hansen on one hand and on the other hand Heyneke Meyer chose to build their campaign to the Grail.

The game of the champions of the New Zealand World , such as allowing teammates Richie McCaw, a week after the demonstration too easy against the Blues of St. Andrew (62-13), to include the first test of this shock. A touch quickly played that puts the South African Defence heels and a ball that already lead to the opposite wing, McCaw signed an acrobatic passes, send Jerome Kaino corner point test that transforms Dan Carter (3 -7, 9). The All Blacks beat!

But the New Zealanders as a problem. Gender rather recurrent, irrelevant when it comes to rub-called minor nations – France, including – but much more damaging Boks face these so solid and rigorous in their bases: all black indiscipline expensive , very expensive. Especially against a striker of the caliber of the young Handré Pollard who, despite his 21 years and where Carter wanders attempted (33) enquille his kicks with the aplomb of an old hand (3rd, 11th, 21st, 39th). A penalty ninth (!) In forty minutes (13 in total against 6 for the Boks), came sanction the act of anti-backlash feed stupid but symptomatic of a Kaino offside and leaves his team to fourteen following the 4th yellow card New Zealanders in the competition. The title holder may well count 72% of possession, it led to the break (12-7).

It is one of those great battles which we are proud to emerge victorious >

Richie McCaw (flanker and captain of the All Blacks)

Steve Hansen speech of the axes is not difficult to guess at the half. Bears fruit if we stick to the mostly unsuccessful takeover by South Africans. It makes balloons and superiority, we take the points with this drop Carter (12-10, 46th). Even Schalke Burger, precious since the start of the tournament, drops a ball made slippery both by the appearance of rain, but mostly burning in its own 22 meters. The sanction is immediate with the new test in the end of Beauden Barrett, hardly came into play. Worse for the Boks is Bryan Habana who, for lack of action on the ground, sees yellow in turn ( 12-17, 52). A turning point, do we imagine.

Pollard, despite his cool face the poles (15-17, 58th), pays the restart missed by his team and this big fifteen minutes Wandering. Without cap, no real game option. A South African coaching required, although Carter himself a formidable precision in his direction of the game, has given five points ahead to his own (15-20, 60th). Victor Matfield, for its 126th selection, is not too much to try to reverse the trend and to help bring the Boks in contact with the foot of Pat Lambie, Pollard successor 10 (18-20, 69th). But those are the All Blacks, too experienced to let go, that reach their fourth final of the World Cup. With the hope of becoming the first team to defend his crown against the winner of the other semifinal between Australia and Argentina on Sunday at Twickenham (17 hours).
