New Zealand, sacred double world champion, beating Australia (34-17)! – The Équipe.fr

Never nation has been crowned twice in a row and had scored three world titles to his name. This double record is now owned by New Zealand, after a fantastic final won on Saturday at Twickenham against Australia (34-17). New Zealanders are “ imblackables ” in the wake of their veterans Richie McCaw, Dan Carter and Ma’a Nonu. Except
their goal penalty in the 14th, the Australians suffered in the first period of unbelievable proportions in terms of territorial domination (75-25). But the most impressive thing is the rhythm driven by the All Blacks in the game: no downtime, spectacular sequences, conjuring tricks around Carter and Nonu at their best. Without the effort on the ground from the third row Pocock-Hooper-Fardy, the All Blacks could register two additional trials in this first period, before that of Nehe Milner-Skudder just before halftime (39th, 16-3) .

In the second half the match was balanced. After the test of Nonu (42nd), the All Blacks enjoyed eighteen point lead (21-3) but the yellow card inflicted on the back Ben Smith (52) for a dangerous tackle would allow Australians powerplay, to include two tries in quick succession (53rd, 64th). But New Zealand’s mastery materialized by a drop signed Dan Carter, 40 m facing the posts (70th, 24-17), before sealing this historic success of a long-range goal (75th, 27-17). Absent at the 2011 final won by the All Blacks in Auckland at the expense of France (8-7), the future racingman was one of the architects of this second title in a row, a first in the history of the trophy .
We will keep the ultimate story for New Zealand trial (79th), signed Barrett, after a 80 meter against. Try converted by? Carter! As a final point after a magnificent chapter.

63. Test ball for Sonny Bill Williams. Against Australia. Three game time later, behind a ruck, Genia delivers a little kick in the box. Mitchell is on the rebound, resists two defenders and serves Kuridrani launched thoroughly for the test which restarts the match (64th, 21-17)

Never player has achieved such a breakthrough victory in the final of World Cup. Lofted pass in the defense of Sonny Bill Williams, entered the break for his friend the center Ma’a Nonu (33 years, 103 matches). At 45 meters from the Australian in-goal, the future Toulon feint, eliminates two defenders in his support, performs an overflow-framing on Beale, then accelerates to leave the last defender, Drew Mitchell, in cement. Before score!
