Sept finals, five lost (1973, 1983 , 1997, 1998 and 2003) won for just two (1985 and 1996): the balance Juventus in the Champions League is not so shiny that when it comes to cross the last step. Especially since the two final won by the Turin club lack panache. Worse, the first victory in 1985 against Liverpool, cohabiting with the Heysel tragedy. And the second, in 1996, was torn off against Ajax at the end of the penalty shootout. A win tonight against FC Barcelona is undoubtedly the most beautiful of all, as the Catalans are ultra-favorites for this match in Berlin. A stage that the Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon knows well since he won here the World Cup 2006. And, perhaps for the first time since 1973 (lost final against Ajax Amsterdam great Johan Cruyff), Juventus n ‘ is not at all a position of strength. Juve will be without defender Giorgio Chiellini injured left calf, who will miss his reunion with Luis Suárez, the very one that has bitten ear last summer during a match of the 2014 World Cup.

As for figures, Lionel Messi has a chance to score during a third final of the Champions League, that no one else has managed to do so far. As for Patrice Evra, he will play a fifth final of C1 and joins the Dutch Edwin van der Sar and Clarence Seedorf. Only Paolo Maldini did better than the back of the French left Juventus with six entries.

A meeting to follow live on the Point.fr from 20 h 45.
