Rafael Nadal was not too difficult to negotiate the transition from clay to grass. But the Spaniard missed the transition from Stuttgart grass to that of the Queen’s. Less than 48 hours after its title in Germany, the fourth of his career on grass, Nadal was beaten upon his entry into the race in the London tournament.
