Swimming world: French relay gold in 4 × 100 m – The World

Already Olympic champion and world champion long course, the French relay became world champion short course of 4 × 100 m freestyle, Wednesday, December 3, in Doha, Qatar. The quartet consists of 100% Marseille Clement Cute, Fabien Gilot, and Florent Manaudou Mehdy Metella won in 3 min 3 s 78 – new meet record – before the Russians and the Americans.

The men’s Chad Le Clos won gold in the 200m butterfly. The South African Olympic champion in the discipline, won his first world title at this distance in 1 min 41 s 45, away from the world record for the German Paul Biedermann in 2009 (1 min 39 s 37).
