Football. England-France: a match as a tribute to the victims – Ouest-France

England getting ready for a game like no other by hosting the France team football Tuesday night, just a few days after the dramatic attacks that affected Paris. This long planned friendly match should offer an opportunity especially the British to honor the victims and show its solidarity with France.

Since the announcement of holding the meeting the British press calls the spectators all singing La Marseillaise . L e daily The Daily Telegraph has decided to display the words of the French national anthem on the cover of its issue of Monday. “Aux armes citoyens! Form your battalions, March, march! Let impure blood quenches your paths “ all with background in the Wembley Stadium in the colors of France.

This initiative will be taken up by the English Federation (FA). Indeed, the FA confirmed that the words of La Marseillaise will be written to the giant screens of Wembley Stadium when hymns Tuesday night.

The tribute should also be visible from outside the stadium with the arch of Wembley illuminated in blue, white, red and French currency Liberty, Equality, Fraternity will be written on the stadium until kick-off.

An online petition set by change.org Ben Lyons asking the President of the FA, Greg Dyke, to donate the proceeds of the match at the French Red Cross and Doctors Without Borders to help the victims of the attacks, has already received nearly 100,000 signatures. This initiative should not end with a success, the FA having already pledged to donate the proceeds to an association against breast cancer, although Dyke spoke with the FFF on the best way to help victim.

Finally the English players hold, too, to participate in the tributes.
