A ten for an hour, Caen is satisfied with a point against Angers (0-0) to go up on the podium – Eurosport.fr

Angers are really more happens. Powerplay from the 32nd minute and the expulsion of Aleaddine Yahia (32), Stéphane Moulin players could not take a point (0-0) in Caen during the 14th day, non-marking for the fourth consecutive game in all competitions. While most attractive in the first hour of the meeting, the Caen then suffered physically but showed great solidarity to resist. With this, Patrice Garande players back to 3rd place in the League, Angers is fifth.

Everyone will have an opinion on its severity or not, but no one will dispute that the red card received by Yahia in the 32nd minute has clearly changed the face of the game. Until then, the meeting was far from a priori League 1: a steady pace, a ball that went from one goal to another, no dead time, in short, a great and beautiful game dominated by enterprising Caen. This has also had a nothing to see the Stade Malherbe open the scoring but Féret (23rd) as Delort (31st) fell on a large Butelle, even when the middle Caen saw his shot end up on the bar.

But moments later, everything changed. On the left side of the field, Yahia tackled roughly Ketkeo and missed the ball. Direct red out by Mr. Schneider and a huge opportunity for the Angevins to get back in the game and get out of a difficult period (3 matches without winning League 1). But despite 55% of possession, players Stéphane Moulin experienced the worst difficulties to take Caen in default. Without Camara suspended the Angevins were deprived of their main offensive detonator and are mired in their scheme to deviate constantly Caen defense. He also took three long shots N’Doye (45 + 1st) and Mangani (50th, 74th) to worry Vercoutre. But the Caen keeper is interposed on the first two before seeing his crossbar to save the fourth from the end.

It would have been hard for a courageous malherbiste training and stingy effort, especially in the second period. Garande players have never refused to play, not hesitating to project forward, even outnumbered. But Delort was left too alone to exploit its rare balloons and Angers (too) careful, never exposed, even cut into two clearly late in the game. Caen who did not deserve less, Angers who did not deserve more: finally, this draw is all that is most logical.
