Foot – L1 – 15 j. – Saint-Etienne success in facing Guingamp – The Équipe.fr

Three days after snatching their ticket to the knockout stages of the Europa League, the Greens have entered their beautiful week by winning at home against Guingamp (3-0). Although launched in depth by Neal Maupay, Romain Hamouma opened the scoring in the 52nd minute but seemed offside. A penalty converted by Valentin Eysseric (86th) and a realization of Nolan Roux (90 + 5) sealed the fate of the match.
Meanwhile, the In-Avant may regret its lack of realism. Britons could have scored on an action Marcus Coco, served by Jimmy Briand, narrowly missing the frame after his duel with Stéphane Ruffier (35th). Briand also missed the cage for receiving a center Yannis Salibur (42nd). After halftime, the goalkeeper Etienne interposed before Briand (54th) before taking a head Benoît Assou-Ekotto, close to score against his side after a first dud Loïc Perrin (60th).

The exclusion of the defender Moustapha Bayal Sall (90th) was the only negative side of Etienne meeting. This success allows the Greens to back up to Lyon, third in the Championship.
