Monaco Louis II, it is still not that – Eurosport.fr

Monaco will have to wait before recording a first win in Ligue 1 at home this season (2 draws, 2 losses). Held in check by Louis II in Rennes (1-1), the Monegasques still do not argue and remain in the soft underbelly of the championship (9th). It could have been worse if Wallace (51) had not responded to the opening of Doucouré score in the first period (41). The point of zero allows Rennais temporarily back on the podium (3rd), even if they leave the after-Caen ASSE. Bad news for Britons: Paul-Georges Ntep was injured and could be unavailable for several weeks.

For once in Rennes, this is not Paul Georges Ntep who shone. Released after the hour mark following a muscle injury, Breton attacker, who was not at ease until its release, let his teammates do the work. Upon receiving a pass from Ludovic Baal, Abdoulaye Doucouré perfectly crossed his head to open the scoring (1-0, 41th). Both players had already shown a few minutes ago on a rare Rennes shares of the first period (12). Converted into an opportunity goal, but that was immediately canceled for offside on the left side. Cold realism, Stade Rennais, solid but uninspired offensively, resisted until early in the second period.

Unclear on the front of the attack, AS Monaco had to fight to get back into the game. Available but still rough in finish, Stephan El Shaarawy has still not released his tally in Ligue 1 (16th, 24th). It took a new swipe of Thomas Lemar to break the deadlock. Former Caen, a corner was causing the tying goal Wallace (1-1, 51e).

The Brazilian has enjoyed a deflection Dirar at the near post. Despite a return to form in the second act, the Monegasques have played with fire by conceding a penalty after a foul on Fabinho Cheikh M’bengue (64th). An opportunity wasted by Pedro Henrique who failed to deceive Subasic (65th). Rennes had three penalties this season in L1, all duds.

Passed to the brink of defeat, ASM then grazed the victory in the final moments. Thomas Lemar has catapulted his free kick over the crossbar (85th) and Guido Carrillo came up against Abdoulaye Diallo in stoppage time (90 + 3). Monaco has missed a great opportunity to get closer to the leaders. More worryingly, the club from the Principality is unable to win a home game. Leonardo Jardim has not finished to worry.
