Le Monde | • Updated | By

The PSG striker Edinson Cavani scored in the 52nd minute when the quarter-finals of the Coupe de France against AS Monaco, on 4 March.

In addition to the coveted Champions League, there is currently missing is Coupe de France in the window of Qatar Sports Investments (QSI), owner of Paris Saint-Germain since 2011. The capital club seems in a strong position to provide this valuable trophy this season dignitaries Doha. Winner of the competition eight times (last victory dated May 2010), PSG is offered (2-0) scalp AS Monaco on Wednesday at the Parc des Princes, in the quarterfinals of the test. For eight years, the Red and White were unbeaten in the pit of Ile arena.

Three days after being neutralized (0-0) in the league by the formation of the Rock at the Stade Louis II, the Laurent Blanc’s men have delivered a satisfactory performance, multiplying combinations and other ultra smooth motion. Auspicious before moving “commando” at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea’s lair, Wednesday, March 11, in the final round of the Champions League return. This is the first time that PSG beats ASM since his return to League in the summer of 2013 and was bought by Russian billionaire Dmitry Rybolovlev, two years earlier.

The Parisians opened the scoring in the fourth minute of the game thanks to their Brazilian defender David Luiz. The player to the crazy hair it is taken twice to catapult the ball head in Monaco cage. Moments later, the “local” were close to double the lead but the side Lucas Digne then the attacker Edinson Cavani hardly concluded the movement executed by their training. At the 19 th minute, the audience held their breath while the Monaco Alain Traoré lacked wrong Nicolas Douchez, the alternate guardian of GMP. His skillfully wrapped free kick hit the crossbar of the opposing cage.

While up at the technically comfortable Parisian players, however, displayed a disconcerting lack of realism. Edinson Cavani (13 th ) and Javier Pastore (25 th ) saw their attempt to fly above the amounts of ASM. Until halftime, the game was chopped by the many committed by both sides.

awkwardness CHRONIC

On the return of the locker room , PSG continued his lightning raids. At the 48 th minute, Javier Pastore shipped too crushed strikes in the gloves of the Dutchman Maarten Sketelenburg, the doorman of the ASM. Park pregnant then spit the chorus “Can you feel it” Jackson Five, while the Uruguayan Edinson Cavani had to double the lead (52 th ). Park attended, ten minutes later, a surreal scene. Although offset by compatriot Ezequiel Lavezzi (60 th ), Argentina’s Javier Pastore hit the left post of Monaco cage before qu’Edinson Cavani struck the right amount. In the process, the same Javier Pastore and Lavezzi shipped the ball on the spot, while they stood alone with Maarten Sketelenburg. Along the sideline, the PSG coach Laurent Blanc fuming with rage before chronic clumsiness of his players. Some whistles were then heard in the aisles of the Park, reflecting the public’s annoyance.

The double champion title in France then continued to monopolize leather, literally suffocating his opponent, current fourth League 1 and victorious (3-1), there is a week on the lawn of Arsenal during the knockout stages of the Champions League go. PSG in midfield, young Adrien Rabiot (19) and Marco Verratti (22) masterfully orchestrated offensive of their training. Teammate Blaise Matuidi a tireless before standing ovation as he left the field (79 th ) through the public park. Like his captain, the Brazilian Thiago Silva, the Paris defense showed it, serene and concentrated.

The pace of the game fell in intensity during the last ten minutes. Edison Cavani was close to score a double but his shot was blocked by defender narrowly ASM Jérémy Toulalan (82 th ). Three minutes later, Javier Pastore stumbled again on Sketelenburg Maarten. “Olé” and “We’re home,” smirk flashed the Park forums, highlighting the overwhelming superiority of the PSG. The score remained there until the final whistle.

If the performance of his players has something for Laurent Blanc, the Parisian coach has seen the blatant lack of realism of his attackers. These have to be more clever in a week against Chelsea. In unfavorable tie after drawing (1-1) against the Blues on February 17, during the first leg, PSG will be obliged to include at least one goal at Stamford Bridge.
