Match fixing in L2 Nimes demoted a division – Europe1

The LFP disciplinary committee decided Wednesday to relegate the club to Nimes a division at the end of the season for his involvement in the case of alleged match fixing in Ligue 2 last season. Its leaders at the time, Serge Kasparian (then principal shareholder) and Jean-Marc Conrad (President at the time), were also severely punished individually. Serge Kasparian is sentenced to 10 years of license Ban and Jean-Marc Conrad 7 years of public office ban. Nimes, currently ranked eighth in Ligue 2, immediately announced his intention to appeal the decision.


No punishment for President of Caen. Jean-François Fortin, President of Caen, was not punished. Franck Toutoundjian and Michel Moulin, suspected of having acted as intermediaries, have each received two-year ban from any official duties and one year license ban.
