“The number one track is Yannick Noah” – Eurosport.fr

Now the FFT is hiding more. After the eviction of black cohosh Arnaud Clement earlier in the day, the Federation has openly admitted this Friday in Paris during a press conference that Yannick Noah was the favorite person approached to take over the post Davis Cup captain. If no decision is taken yet, for lack of an agreement in due form between him, the players and the right-thinking people of the FFT, everything converges to the former winner of Roland Garros is promptly inducted .. . for the third time in his career.

After a first in 1991 and returning in 1995, each time successful (1991 and 1996), Yannick Noah is on track to regain the bench of the team of France. Who better than him, which shaped his hands the unifying spirit of the Davis Cup in France, to restart the machine? No Arnaud Clement anyway. Nevertheless chosen for its qualities as much as for his dedication to this competition so dear to the Federation, the Aix has not convinced. Worse, now it divides within the clan tricolor. Which cost him his job.

In office since 2013, Arnaud Clement initially paid the disappointing results during his three years of captaincy. And lately the elimination in the quarterfinals by Britain in July. He then charges dissension arose between him and some players Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Richard Gasquet first. A paradox because its proximity with them was presented as an asset on his appointment, just after its removal from the circuit.

The Federation found that there was no time to lose since the best French Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Richard Gasquet, Gael Monfils and Gilles Simon will all have over thirty next year and that the next generation does not seem not hatch. Anxious to regain control, the FFT has decided to cut the head of Clement, who still had a year contract to avoid another shipwreck in 2016, when the opportunity to win money tenth Bowl will still very present. And to emphasize that it is the Federal Office, not the players, who would decide who would take the job.
