A senior Fifa was extradited to the United States, announced the Swiss courts, Thursday, July 16. It is the first extradition of the seven frames of the governing body of world football arrested in Switzerland on May 27, at the request of American justice in a corruption case. The name of that person has not yet been revealed, at his request, explained the Swiss justice.

According to Berne, the district prosecutor’s New York suspect the person to be extradited “agreed (…) and kept for [she] of bribes of several million dollars” from sports companies, in exchange for assigning marketing rights to several competitions in North America and South America. Under Swiss law, the hearings of the other six detainees “are still ongoing”.

On Twitter, several British sports journalists make the assumption that the detainee would be extradited Jeffrey Webb , the former president of CONCACAF, the federation of FIFA in charge of North America, Central America and the Caribbean.
