After Frederic Thiriez surprise resignation as President of the League, an interim president now has to be appointed. It was possible to convene an emergency board (CA) to do so. But it was finally decided to wait for the Board and the General Meeting of 27 May to fill the void.
The interim president will be chosen by the “independent members” of the CA. They are only three: Boy Nathalie Tower, executive director of the Football Foundation, Jean-Michel Roussier, former president of OM, and Jean-Pierre Denis, treasurer of the League and Chairman of Crédit Mutuel Arkea. The last two named have the profile to take the chair pending new elections in September.
Anyway, Didier Quillot, the new executive director general of the LFP, became the real boss of the League.
