Bielsa did not understand the L1 – Sports.fr

Again beaten to the head of the Olympique de Marseille on Friday night in Lorient (3-5) in the opening of the 34th day of Ligue 1, Marcelo Bielsa will succeed more to find a solution to revive his troops. And facing the Hake, design football was not in line with the championship of France.

Whether we like it or not Marcelo Bielsa, it is recognized or not its great technician qualities, he remains a reference for the biggest names in the discipline, starting with Josep Guardiola, who has always recognized that the vision of football advocated by his Argentine elder had great influence as Diego Simeone elsewhere. But in France, the debate about the true quality of El Loco continues.

And this is even more the case since the beginning of 2015 and results in a free fall of the Olympique de Marseille. But Friday night, the Phoenicians were re-size setback since heavily beaten (3-5) at home to FC Lorient in the opening of the 34th day of Ligue 1. The title dreams are gone, and now hopes a simple Europa League qualification in the context of the 2015-2016 fiscal year.

But what has happened, then the OM for such a collapse is inevitable? On the one hand the physical is not there, the workforce (limited in number and quality) left too much force on the first half of the season to print a very intense pressure to opponents choking up, and other Ligue 1 has adapted to Marcelo Bielsa. In France, Argentina’s position is the only coach to favor the attack at all costs.

On Friday night, Marseille came back up after being led by two goals, and yet tied at 3-3. How many managers would then sought to close the shop? All, without exception! But not El Loco, which then had a decidedly offensive eleven, which never interested in a possible share of the points, leaving it to the huge boulevards before his doorman. His mind turned to the win, in the manner of what is practiced in the Bundesliga, Premier League or La Liga.

But in Ligue 1 … The championship is organized defensively, and Teams are programmed to avoid taking goals rather than score. It’s almost historically rooted in the thinking football, all around the sacrosanct world title of the Blues in 1998, with three midfielders recovery in the starting lineup. Then on Friday, the OM supporters attended a defeat of their protégés, who cashed five goals and showed unforgivable defensive shortcomings. But for Marcelo Bielsa, defeat on such a score or one goal remains a defeat, and France may not manage to understand the vision of the discipline.
