Six Nations: no miracle at the Stade de France against Wales – The World

Six Nations Tournament: Camille Lopez struggling with Welshman Dan Biggar at the Stade de France.

The XV of France was defeated 13-20 at the Stade de France against Wales during the third day of the Tournament Six Nations. That was sixty-five years the Welsh had failed to beat the French five times.

Given a rigorous opponent, the French have played only in spurts, without enough initiatives. This does not bode well before moving to Italy Sunday, March 15, where the Blues have not won since 2009. Not to mention the shock closure at Twickenham against England on March 21, for a “crunch” in very high voltage.

The French have yet started the match well decided to reclaim their audience and to win in this stage they will never see again before the start of the next World Cup in England and precisely , Wales (September-October).

After a good start to the match, the first blow for the Blues occurs around the game fifteen minutes, with three-quarters injury center Castres Rémi Lamerat, who celebrated his first start. The latter, forced to leave their partners and visibly affected thigh is replaced by Bastareaud.

SURSAUT LATE BRICE DULIN

The first half, without large imbalances, however, ends with a 6-3 in favor of Welsh. Two penalties from the Welsh Toulon Leigh Halpenny, give a slight advantage to the XV Leek (8 th and 29 th minutes). France, it must be content with a kick of the French fly-half Camille Lopez (18 th ).

At the opening, the same Camille Lopez gives kickoff of the second period. But it’s Morgan Parra who is then responsible for the penalty given to the XV of France. Without success, as scrumhalf crosses his shot too.

At the hour mark, the Welsh are the break thanks to a test Dan Biggar (60 th , 14-6). Despite the changes, the gap is widening in favor of the XV of Leek with a new penalty Halfpenny (65 th , 17-6). Thirteen minutes before the end of the game, the Blues however prove their ability to respond and come back to 4 points with a try in the corner of Brice Dulin, tenured at fullback in place of Scott Spedding.

The Welsh rugby player Jamie Roberts is tackled by French Morgan Parra at the Stade de France on Saturday 28th February.

This test has been transformed by Camille Lopez (69 th , 17-13). There is a little more than 10 minutes the Blues to turn the tide of the match. Instead, Wales will strengthen rather its success to the favor of a penalty Leigh Halpenny, the fifth of the day (74 th , 13-20).

At this time, only a converted try could release the XV of France. An interesting touch gives them a slight hope, but the score will remain there. Interim balance in this Six Nations: the French have scored only two tries in three games after winning timid against Scotland at home (15-8) and their defeat in Ireland (18-11) <. /> p>

Once again, the public did not like the proposed show. The lap of the Blues is performed under a volley of whistles, embodying the frustration of the team playing small arms, encased in his fears and reacting only once back to the wall and many ephemeral.

For the Welsh, the victory provides a little ray of sunshine after their defeat on the first day against England (21-16) at the Millennium. Since they are so successful in two out of their bases: Scotland (26-23) and therefore this weekend at the Stade de France
