Paris continues to skate in the league, and printing sub-system persists in light of his recent performances. Expected to rebound after the small revival in Caen glimpsed this week (2-0), the capital club has disappointed conceding a sad void trip to Toulouse (1-1) this Saturday at the new Stadium. Beyond the result, which should keep the PSG remote leader Marseille at the end of the eighth day, it is mainly the provision still cutesy Parisians that is sure to elicit questions before playing the ogre Barcelona on Tuesday in the Champions League.

4-4-2 in question

Amputee many of his wounded officers (Ibra, Silva, Lavezzi) or maintained (Lucas Marquinhos, Motta, van der Wiel), PSG had a 4-4-2 diamond with Verratti low point and Pastore 10 behind the duo Cavani-Bahebeck. A quasi-unique system, but that seemed confusing some players below their usual performance and hampered in their placement. Especially that face strong immaculate discipline and good intentions from the start, Toulouse have done better than to cue.

After a head not strong enough as a summation (3rd), Ben Yedder found the perfect pattern to start his own. The young international prospects anticipated a pass and beat Sirigu Aurier to conclude successfully (1-0, 8th). That goal gave the extra confidence to the players Alain Casanova, who have continued to evolve with great application, both behind and in front. Pesic could even make the break on an incredible missed after a parade of Sirigu before Ninkov (20th) and then a center of Akpa-Akpro (30th). Using well width, TFC completely off Paris, stopping to get any strikes on goal over half an hour long.

Toulouse holds a candle to PSG

But as is often the slightest inattention can be costly against the big teams. Free-kick quickly by Verratti in the back of the Toulouse defensive line has allowed Bahebeck to go beat Boucher (1-1, 34th). A very short flash in the Paris gloom. For outnumbered in the middle, the capital club has played in slow motion, often late, collecting cartons (Verratti, Cabaye, David Luiz) who had an unusual technical deficit (82% of successful passes).

The only real satisfaction Paris, the good form of Sirigu who still avoided a disappointment to his family on a vicious shooting Regattin (41st). PSG has certainly tightened the screw after the interval but by being still amorphous front. It was not until the physical decline of Toulouse, coupled to triple substitution made by Laurent Blanc – entries Lucas Motta and Chantôme – to glimpse a rising pace. Too late a start though.

In a late match where strange as it gave the impression of being able to force the decision to be able to give only Matuidi has tried to distance but without interfering Boucher (85th) . Unbeaten at home, the TFC was able to raise his level and continues to build on the progress made in recent months. Raise its level, that PSG will try to do next Tuesday, or risk seeing its European future darken dangerously.
