Ligue 1: Monaco consolidated its third place – The World

Monaco easily won against Toulouse 4 goals to 1 at the 35th day of Ligue 1.

Monaco consolidated its third place in Ligue 1, qualifying for the third preliminary round of the Champions League by crushing Toulouse (4-1) Sunday at the Stade Louis-II at the 35th day. A week before a crucial clash for the C1 to Marseille (4th), ASM increased its lead over Marseille and Saint-Etienne (5th) to 5 points and will be hard to dislodge the podium.

The Monegasque youth worked wonders with opener signed Bernardo Silva (9th), his eighth goal in L1, on a deflected shot by a Toulouse supporter.

The final transfer in January against more of € 15 million of this illustrious unknown, quietly arrived in August 2014 as a loan from the reserve Benfica, was intrigued. But the Portuguese 20 years finally proves to be the right pick Monegasque transfer window. Become international, and he has designated 5 of the last 7 goals of ASM in L1.

After equalization Martin Braithwaite (26th) is Matial Anthony, 19, who gave the advantage at Monaco by taking the law the penalty spot after a foul by Oscar Trejo (45 + 1). The third goal was the work of the experienced Portuguese Joao Moutinho (56th), who then offered a beautiful assist to Valere Germain (90 + 2).
The game ended at 10 against 10 after a collision between Nabil Dirar and Jean-Armel Kana-Biyik, both excluded (80).

This setback is of course not the business of Toulouse, always in great danger in 16th place with two small steps ahead of the relegation zone, Evian / Thonon (18th).
